I did it… i got a job as a junior marketing analyst. I started the “break into tech course” in late April this year and finished the course early May. I took the 2 weeks of intense studying and raced to get my certificate. I immediately started applying to any job that had data analyst in the title. It took all of 4 months to find this job. I just received a job offer today that will be a 36% raise from my current position! It’s not a direct data analyst position, BUT they were impressed with my SQL and Tableau knowledge and I’ll be working with BI in some aspects. So it’s a coordinator position within a nonprofit that focuses on the compliance of electronic health records, audits, analyzing client needs, etc.
